Chad Kregg Hanson is an artist living in Portland, Oregon who specializes in production/set design and prop styling for motion and photography. He also owns a fabrication shop which can build, weld, paint & scenic for any production and event needs. Hanson started in set design in New York working on fashion and commercial photoshoots which has taken him across the globe. Some locations worked has including the Bahamas, Paris, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Mexico City. After moving his family to Portland Oregon in 2012, he continued to work on commercial shoots. He has teamed with photographers such as; Justin Fantl, Benjamin Lennox, Sam Kweskin and Hasse Nielson. ‘

His work has appeared in numerous print ads as well as editorials. Between shoots Hanson works on his own art which includes large scale sculpture and paintings. His art appeared in a group show with Oculus gallery in LA as part of a group exhibit in the Pacific Design Center in 2018. Oculus gallery is currently working with Hanson on a solo show titled “The River”, which is inspired by canoeing the Willamette River in each season through towns, farms and remote wilderness. Using acrylic, plaster, rock, metal and burlap, “The River” conceives of an abstract world of nature and humanity during the season’s birth and decay.
